Harry and his wife Louise were in there hotel room in New York listening to Frank on radio station After hearing Frank Sinatra at the Rustic Cabin he hires him to sing with his orchestra. It was Frank's first Big Band job that propelled him into national exposure.
The Rustic Cabin holds a very special place in the annals of Frank Sinatra history. It was here that Sinatra, working as a waiter, was first ‘discovered’ in 1939 by Harry James. Sinatra went on to join James’ band that year and the rest, as they say, is history.
